Get ready for a Mardi Gras celebration, Spring Fling in the Gardens on Saturday March 1st at the Goldthwaite Pavilion, 1012 W Third Street starting at 5pm.

Break out your best spring-inspired costumes, masks, beads, and feathers,  guests are encouraged to come dressed to impress in true Mardi Gras fashion! Gather your KREWE and get creative by decking out your dinner table with colorful decor and tasty charcuterie bites (don’t forget it’s BYOB).  Trophies and bragging rights will be awarded to the most “spirited” tables, but you’ll have to show up to see what that really means! Whether you’re attending solo or with a smaller group, we’ve got pre-decorated tables waiting for you to join in the fun.

After feasting on classic Cajun dishes from The Real New Orleans Style Restaurant, get ready to help us raise some funds through our silent auction, the Bling Ring game, and gun raffle.  While this event is focused on festive spring fun—it’s also about supporting a great cause. For over a decade, the community of Goldthwaite and surrounding counties have helped the Texas Botanical Gardens & Native American Interpretive Center, Inc. flourish, funding vital projects like our most recent addition, a Demonstration Garden and Rainwater Catchment System. Your participation helps ensure that the gardens continue to grow and bring beauty to our community. Funds raised from this year’s Mardi Gras Spring Fling will go towards the construction of the long-awaited North Wall of the Goldthwaite Pavilion.  The new wall will feature a blend of design elements to make the space more inviting, ensuring that it serves as a gathering place for both the community and out of town guests.

Plans for the North Wall include the addition of a cozy fireplace and service bar creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality. These features will make the pavilion even more versatile, whether for intimate gatherings or larger events.  Large windows, designed to frame the breathtaking native scenery outside, will provide guests with sweeping views of the landscape and eventual Native American Interpretive Center.

Help us reach our goal of $10,000 raised at this year’s event and be a part of the next phase of growth at the Legacy Plaza block.

Wrap up the evening by dancing the night away with DJ Mo’ Hair spinning the beats.  We can’t wait to celebrate with you!  Visit www.legacyplaza.org to purchase your ticket online or email botanicalgardens.naic@gmail.com to arrange a time to pay in person.   $40 per ticket, $320 per table of 8,  $400 per table of 10.  Let the Good Times Roll.
