Theresa Kay Genzling, born on September 19, 1955, was called to her eternal home on February 15, 2025, in Coleman, Texas. She leaves behind a rich legacy of love, faith, and family, cherished by those who knew her.

Theresa dedicated many years to her career as a secretary and office manager at Artesia Plumbing and Heating. She found joy in her work and built lasting friendships with her colleagues, embodying a spirit of dedication and warmth that resonated throughout her workplace.

A proud mother and grandmother, Theresa cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Sikes, and husband Cameron of Abilene, along with her beloved grandchildren, Evelyn and Elliott, who were the light of her life. She loved her grandchildren fiercely, enjoying every moment spent in their company. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Kathleen Lunsford, and two brothers, Timothy Berry and wife Tina, and Thomas Berry.

Theresa lived her faith wholeheartedly, deeply loving the Lord and her church family at Hords Creek Cowboy Church. This community was a major source of strength for her, and she flourished in the fellowship and support it provided.

Beyond her church and family, Theresa led an active lifestyle, frequently working out at Lone Star Gym and engaging in conversations with her neighbors. Her vivacious spirit and ability to connect with those around her brought joy to many.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, Dean Allen Berry and Wilma Pauline Fort Berry; her loving husband, Jimi Henry Genzling; one brother, Randall Berry; and one sister, Sandra Moore. These individuals hold a special place in her heart as she now rests peacefully alongside them.

A memorial service honoring Theresa’s life will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Seth Moore, pastor at Hords Creek Cowboy Church, officiating. The family invites all who knew Theresa to join in celebrating a life lived with unwavering love, faith, and joy. She will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made in memory of Theresa to a charity of the donor’s choice.
