LAMPASAS – The Brownwood Lions golf team began its spring season Monday at the Lampasas Invitational at Hancock Park, where they placed second overall with a composite score of 307.

Leading the way was Cobe Walker with a third-place total of 73 and Caleb Modawell with a fifth-place round of 75, while Will Stewardson chipped in a 77 and Peyton Sharp contributed an 82.

The next action for the Lions is Feb. 12 at the Llano Invitational.
