Vadas Deen McQueen, age 96, stepped into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 21, 2025. Deen was born October 19, 1928; raised in Brownwood, Texas.; Married his sweetheart, Mary Ellen Morgan, January 6, 1951, on the United States Naval base in San Diego California. Mary’s dad provided her with a one-way ticket to California as she always likes to say. After service and discharge from the Navy, the couple moved to Odessa in 1952, set down roots and raised three daughters Paula, Laura and Kelleye.
Deen is survived by his loving wife, Mary, of 74 years of marriage, 3 beautiful daughters and his wonderful sons-in-law. He had 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with one more on the way plus a multitude of loving nieces, nephews and precious friends.
The burial will take place on Monday, January 27, 2025, 2:00 P. M. Greenleaf Cemetery, Brownwood, TX 76801 provided by Blaylock Funeral Home.
A Memorial service will take place Saturday, February 1, 2025, 1:00 P. M. at Northside Baptist Church, 100 W. 50th, Odessa, TX 79764.
