WACO – The Brownwood Lady Lions remained undefeated on the season with their fifth consecutive victory, 7-0 at Waco La Vega Tuesday.
The Lady Lions (5-0) have outscored their foes this season, 31-1.
Kynlie Lewis scored a team-high two goals for Brownwood trailed by Adrianna Allen, Madison Weckwerth, Braycee Lee, Sidney Adkins, and Jacklyn Lewis with one apiece.
Recording assists were Lee, Alma Bernal and Isabella Garza with a pair each along with one from Weckwerth.
Defensively, Noemi Ceniceros notched another shutout with assistance from the back row of Adkins, Rebekkah Delgado, Nixon Johnson, and Gale Balfour.
The Lady Lions will take part in the Burnet tournament Thursday through Saturday, weather permitting.
Recording goals for the Lions were Arturo Vaquera, and Eli Valenciano with two apiece, while Raven Prado, Alejandro Vaquera, Juan Cervantes, and Jose Rodriguez contributed one goal each.
Defensively, the Lions also notched their second consecutive shutout.
Brownwood is off until Tuesday, Jan. 14 when it hosts Abilene Cooper at 7 p.m.
