Chandler Chapter of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas need help in honoring these heroes with placing a wreath on their headstones, saying their names and thanking them for their service.

“Our goal continues to be honoring all 2,000 veterans buried at Greenleaf, but we are so very thankful for the wonderful response this year,” said Mary Lee Bailey Shelton, WWCDRT wreath liaison. “It’s the closest we’ve been to our goal.”
Saturday’s ceremony will feature Hardin Simmons University’s Six White Horses equestrian team, a cannon salute, performances by soloist Duncan Wellborn, and complimentary Starbucks coffee.
