It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Seale Howard, who left us peacefully on December 12, 2024, just days shy of her 60th birthday. Mary was born on December 19, 1964, in Punta Gorda, Florida, to Stephen and Martha Roddy. She brought joy and love to all who knew her.

A proud graduate of San Marcus Military Baptist Academy and later Central Texas Commercial College, where she earned her Secretarial Degree, Mary’s adventurous spirit led her to Howard Payne University, where she met the love of her life, David. They tied the knot on June 9, 1984, in San Marcos, Texas, and began a beautiful life together in Zephyr, where they have been cherished members of the community for 38 years.

Mary dedicated herself to her career with Walmart for an impressive 31 years, touching the lives of countless customers and colleagues along the way. Above all, she was a devoted wife and a loving mother to her two daughters, Samantha Davis and Andrea Howard, who will carry her spirit forward.

Mary was a beloved member of the Zephyr Baptist Church, where she shared her faith and kindness with everyone around her.

Mary’s family invites all who knew her to celebrate her life and legacy at a visitation set for December 15, 2024, at 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Heartland Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on December 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM, with interment to follow at Zephyr Cemetery.
