Otis Coffey, formerly of Brownwood, TX passed away at the age of 78, on Saturday, November 30, 2024 in Cresson, TX. He was born on August 9, 1946 in Brownwood, TX to mother, Frances Lunsford Coffey and father, Cecil Franz Coffey; step-mother, Alice Cleo Coffey. He graduated from Brownwood High School and later attended Howard Payne University for 1 year. He was an exceptional provider with an unrivaled work ethic. He enjoyed a successful career as a Vice President of sales in the Fire Sprinkler Industry from 1975 until retirement. He was also a Veteran of the Army National Guard.
He was a beloved Father who enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a zest for making people laugh and being a great host. Anyone who knew him would tell you that he had a joke for every occasion, and then some. A few of the things he loved doing most were hunting, fishing, and playing golf with his sons. While he was a great Father, he was also a trusted and loyal friend to many. A true “Texan” at heart.
Otis will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his surviving partner Kaye Tindell and family; his siblings, brother and sister-in-law, Charley and Suzann Coffey; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Mike Edmondson; step sister; Patricia Cowin Hester; his children, Wade Coffey, and wife Cindi, Faith Roberts Coffey, Zac Coffey and Caleb Coffey; his grandchildren; Cassidy Coffey, Bryce BalentineCoffey, Jayden and Emma Coffey, Brighten Reinert; and loyal friend John Lott.
