Allan Kent Moore, age 85, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away on November 9, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Kent was born on December 28, 1939, to Carrie Leona Beck-Moore and Grover Albert Moore in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served 23 years in the US Army, having a decorated career prior to his retirement.

Kent was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Jean Moore; son, Steven Kent Moore; and granddaughter, Danielle Michelle Moore. He is survived by his three children, ten grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. His surviving family includes his son, Rodney Allan Moore, and his wife, Jennifer, along with their son, Rory; his daughter, Deanne Annette Moore, and her three children: Sarah, Heather, and Alyssa, and their families; his late son Steven Moore’s child, Christopher, and his family; Danielle’s surviving family; and his daughter, Melinda Brake, and her husband, Scott, along with their four children: Dustin, Christopher, Cody, and Kara, and their families.

He was a man who enjoyed many hobbies, had a passion for learning, and loved sharing his knowledge with others over a cup of coffee.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Blaylock Funeral Home, 1914 Indian Creek Road, Brownwood, TX 76801, followed by interment at Greenleaf Cemetery, on November 23, 2024.
