The New York Yankees defeated the LA Dodgers in an 11-4 victory on Tuesday night in Game 4 of the World Series at Yankee Stadium.
Shortstop Anthony Volpe’s 390-foot grand slam in the bottom of the third inning helped the Yankees to avoid becoming the first team swept in a World Series since 2012. Volpe went 2 for 3 with four RBIs, three runs scored, a walk and two steals, with catcher Austin Wells and second baseman Gleyber Torres also homering, and the bullpen allowing just one hit and no runs in the final innings.
Game 5 of the World Series between the Dodgers and Yankees will take place on Wednesday at Yankee Stadium at 8:08 p.m. If necessary, Game 6 will take place on Friday in Los Angeles.
