Lewis Miller Sharp III, went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2024.

Lewis Miller Sharp, III, known by many names (Lew, Butch, Pop and his favorite was PaPa) was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on July 30, 1940, to Lewis “John” M. Sharp, Jr and Martha Belle Sharp. He served in the US Army for 3 ½ years as a Captain and was stationed in Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. During his military service, he met the love of his life, Jonelle Nelson, and they were married one year later.  Following his military service, Lew and Jonelle moved to Brownwood in 1967, to be the Director of Pharmacy at Brownwood Community Hospital and would serve in that role for 44 years until retiring in 2011. While in Brownwood, Lew served his community through the Rotary, church elder, pastor, Pharmacist for health department, youth sports coach and friend/mentor to many in the community.  If you were loved by Lew, you were in his circle of prayer and protection.
