Earlier in the evening, 16 Brownwood ISD teachers were acknowledged for earning “exemplary” status in terms of Teacher Incentive Allotment, which is designed to reward and support teachers who have demonstrated exceptional teaching practices contributing significantly to students’ success in the district’s overall performance.
The payment received in February 2024 and August 2024 was based on 2022-23 school data, and $199,351 was distributed to the 16 teachers.

Tim Wilson also attended his first meeting as the Place 4 representative, taking over for Eric Evans who resigned Sept. 9 after 17 years of service. Evans will be honored prior to the next board meeting on Nov. 11, during a 6 p.m. gathering.
