Greg Mobley, a cherished husband, cousin, and friend, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Santa Anna, Texas, at the age of 71. Born on October 3, 1953, in San Angelo, Texas, Greg’s early years were spent in Odessa, where he graduated from Permian High School.

Greg had a commendable career, having worked for prominent companies such as Dell and IBM. His professional journey continued at Coleman County Telephone Co-Op, where he dedicated several years until his retirement. His work ethic and commitment to excellence left an indelible mark on those who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

A man who appreciated the beauty of nature, Greg found joy in the great outdoors. He loved nothing more than to hunt and fish, pursuits that not only brought him pleasure but also allowed him to connect with friends and family in a meaningful way.

Greg’s proudest accomplishment was marrying his beloved wife, Shirley Gordon, on October 8, 1991, in St. Thomas. Their 33 years of marriage were filled with love and commitment, and she remains a testament to the unity they built together.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Mobley of Santa Anna; his cousins, Carolyn Williams of Houston, Leslie Davidson and husband Mickey of Big Lake, Sharon Lee and husband Bobby of Cisco, and Pat Weaver and wife Loretta of San Angelo. Greg is also survived by many friends who will remember him fondly.

Greg is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Mobley and Oleta McIlvain Mobley, whose memories will forever be cherished by those who loved him.

As we reflect on Greg’s life, we remember a man of integrity, passion, and warmth. He brought joy to those around him and will be missed dearly.
