The event was organized by the first-grade teachers, providing students with a hands-on learning experience that would give a deeper understanding of what goes on in their own bodies.

Mrs. Lee’s classroom explored the digestive system, Mrs. Gamblin’s covered the skeletal system, Mrs. Morton’s studied the muscular system, and Mrs. Hillburn’s classroom featured information about the heart and lungs. This event provided hands-on learning experiences, enriching the students’ understanding of their bodies. Each classroom was set up with fun interactive activities for the students involved.

The event also had the help of Brownwood High School HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) students. These older students played a huge role in assisting the first graders, explaining the concepts in a manner that the students loved, and helping with the hands-on activities.
