Nancy Charlotte Jones, 78, went peacefully to her heavenly home on 27 September 2024 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born 6 September 1946 in San Marcos, Texas to Charles H. and Mary Lou Barbour Ratliff.
A memorial service will take place on October 12, 2024, at 2pm at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel and a visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
She attended Brownwood schools and graduated from Brownwood High School class of 1965. Married to Danny R. Jones in Brownwood, Texas on 2 June 1965 and to this union were born Cary, Cammie and Christopher. She was baptized in the First Christian Church of Brownwood at a young age.
She graduated cosmetology school as a licensed beautician. She worked in retail sales at several stores in Texas until retiring in 2004. She was a very compassionate Nana and loved everyone and her pets. She was a very good seamstress, cook and baker. Her pie and cobblers were awesome with the best flaky crust anyone ever ate. Her favorite hobbies were reading and crocheting and making many items, especially baby blankets, to give away to both family and friends. She loved playing cards every afternoon with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a niece Jennifer McKee and a nephew Gerald Chadwick.
She is survived by, and dearly missed by her husband Danny Jones of Brownwood, daughter Cammie and husband Del Israel of Breckenridge, son Cary Jones and fiancé Cindy Becerra of Brownwood, son Chris and wife Susan Jones of Taylor. By sisters Gloria and husband Allan Cornelius of Brownwood, Cheryl and husband Jack Bourland of Brownwood, Myra and husband William Sparks of Burkett, Dr. and Mrs. Mary Wiedower of Austin, brothers Charlie and wife Carol Ratliff of Plano, William and wife Sandy Ratliff of Brownwood. By thirteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends.
