Brownwood ISD issued the following press release Monday regarding the Spotlight Employees for September:

This month’s spotlight teacher is Jessica Gamblin. Ms. Gamblin is a first grade teacher at Woodland Heights Elementary. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Tarleton State University. She is a state-certified teacher (EC-6), and this is her third year with Brownwood ISD (BISD).

Ms. Gamblin is an excellent teacher. She goes above and beyond to make sure all her students not only learn, but she makes connections with every child in her classroom. She has a genuine talent for making those special relationships with every student. The growth in her classroom has been outstanding over the last two years.

BISD is thankful to have teachers like Ms. Gamblin, who continue to forge meaningful connections with students, foster trust, and create a positive learning environment in the classroom.

Our staff spotlight honoree for the month is Antonio Ramirez. Mr. Ramirez is a Grounds Keeper in the BISD Maintenance Department. His connection to BISD is strong with his wife Lupita working in Athletics at Brownwood High School (BHS), and his daughter, Melissa Bernal, serving as a BHS Spanish teacher. This is his second year with BISD.

Throughout the summer Mr. Ramirez has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and initiative with his work painting during the continued beautification of our schools. He is a hard worker with a positive attitude who never complains and contributes time and skills outside his job requirements to ensure projects are complete when staffing is short.

BISD is blessed to have staff like Mr. Ramirez whose strong work ethic and commitment to going the extra mile consistently enhance the excellence of the district and our schools.
