Justin William Townsend, 38 of Lake Brownwood passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024. His family will host a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, August 26th at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 27th at First Baptist Church in Blanket with interment to follow at Blanket Cemetery.
Justin was born on December 19, 1985 in Ft. Riley, KS to Joseph and Carol Townsend. He attended and graduated from Goldthwaite HS. Justin married Amanda Lynn Atwood on September 23, 2018 in Yorktown, Texas. Justin was a member of the Blanket First Baptist Church as a youth. Justin believed that church was where two or more people were in conversation about the Lord.
Justin worked at the Hide Out Golf Course, and enjoyed golfing. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, football, but most importantly, Justin loved spending time with his family and his friends. Justin was kind and he never met a stranger.
Loved ones to left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amanda Townsend of Lake Brownwood; daughter, Abby Keith and fiancé Brandon Leonard, son Canyon Wade Townsend, daughter Melinda Engleman; mom Carol Lynn; dad Joe Townsend and Lori; brother Robert Townsend and his daughter Ally; brother Josh Townsend and fiancé Jessica Bennett, their daughters Millie, Lizzy and Connor. Mother and father-in-law Nana and Pops(Billy and JoAnn Barrier).
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Patsy Townsend, Kenneth and Dorothy Lynn, and his brother Corey Townsend.
