It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vicki Ann Cook, who departed this world on August 11, 2024, in Azle, Texas. She was born on May 18, 1950, in Hereford, Texas, to her late parents Floyd Conder and Winnie Whitely Conder. Vicki leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Vicki’s life was characterized by dedication and service. She attended and graduated from Coleman High School and later embarked on a fulfilling career as an administrative assistant. Her passion for helping others led her to serve as the director of Loaves and Fishes in Coleman for over 15 years, where she touched the lives of many in her community.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Vicki found joy in simple pleasures. She had a penchant for shopping and treasured moments spent with her family, whom she held dear to her heart. Her warmth and kindness resonated with all who crossed her path, leaving a lasting impression on those around her.

A woman of grace and strength, Vicki is survived by her four daughters: Teanna Hawkins and husband Todd of Azle, Ashtin Cowen and husband Ronald of Whitney, Hannah Metts Cook of Azle, and Heather Metts Cook of Azle. She was a beloved grandmother to Paige, Aiden, Ronnie, London, Zane, Bentley, Baylie, Jailyn, and Macy. In addition, Vicki is also survived by her two brothers, Bobby McGee and wife Karen of Coleman, and Corky McGee and wife Kathy of Santa Anna.

In the embrace of the loving memories she created, Vicki joins her parents, Floyd and Winnie, and her brothers, David and Ricky, in eternal peace. Their spirits live on in the hearts of those who mourn their loss.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service celebrating her life at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

As we bid farewell to Vicki, let us carry forward the lessons she imparted through her kindness, selflessness, and unwavering love. May her legacy serve as a guiding light, illuminating our paths and reminding us of the beauty found in compassion and connection. Vicki’s spirit will forever remain alive in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
