The City of Brownwood is excited to announce the inaugural music lineup for the new Feels Like Home Festival taking place on Saturday, October 19th in Brownwood, Texas. Tickets to the new outdoor celebration of community, music, and delicious BBQ will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. CST on Friday, August 16th via www.FeelsLikeHomeFest.com.

Fans from across the Lone Star State will be treated to a headlining Saturday night performance by none other than Texas’ own, two-time Grammy Award-nominee Midland, a trailblazing country music trio who hail from nearby Dripping Springs. The band is slated to drop their next highly-anticipated album September 20th, Barely Blue, offering Feels Like Home Festival-goers one of the very first opportunities to hear songs from the new project.

With an emphasis on showcasing Texas talent alongside established national touring acts, additional performers include Texas native Casey Donahew, known for his chart-topping hits and energetic live performances; Micky and the Motorcars, blending rock and country with their heartfelt lyrics and vibrant sound; singer-songwriter Tyler Halverson, who recently created the song “New Loop” for the blockbuster film ‘Twisters’; and Hudson Westbrook, hailing about an hour away from Brownwood, bringing his unique blend of traditional country and modern influences to the stage.

“It’s an honor to headline the inaugural Feels Like Home Fest, only a couple hours from our hometown in Dripping Springs and Austin. There is nothing like performing for our Texas fans, we can’t wait to be in Brownwood this fall,” said Midland’s Mark Wystrach, Jess Carson, and Cameron Duddy.

Making its debut this October, the new festival will take place at a brand new outdoor music venue and event center in Brownwood – Brownwood Event Center – laying the foundation for a long-lasting cultural celebration found each fall deep in the heart of Texas.

Originally built as a warehouse for the Radford Grocery Company in the 1920s, the existing building has been converted into a multipurpose event center with spaces for conventions, special events, and premier concerts, bringing in modern features while preserving the building’s original industrial character.

The reimagined Ice House building on Lee Street will soon host the festival main stage with fans sprawling out across the new open-air lawn referred to as Reunion Lawn, which can accommodate up to 10,000 attendees.

Whether fans are dancing to their favorite country tunes, savoring the flavors of authentic Texas BBQ, or simply soaking in the unique charm and warmth of Brownwood, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at Feels Like Home Festival.

“The City of Brownwood is ecstatic to host this incredible lineup of talent as the inaugural Feels Like Home Fest kicks off this October, at our beautiful new state-of-the-art Brownwood Event Center. Headlined by a trio of fellow Texans thanks to the band Midland, we hope this all-ages outdoor fest will become a popular annual attraction that provides a long lasting positive impact in the local community both economically and culturally,” said Mayor of Brownwood Stephen E. Haynes.
