Bobby D. Alba, also known as Bobby D., passed away on August 3, 2024, at his home in Coleman, Texas, surrounded by his cherished family and friends.

Bobby was born September 11, 1973, in San Marcos, Texas. Starting from a young age, he displayed an entrepreneurial spirit that led him to become a successful businessman. He was the proud owner and operator of Bobby D. Enterprises, Natural Stone Masonry, and Indian Creek Ranch. His dedication to his work was truly admirable.

Bobby’s educational journey led him to graduate from Dripping Springs High School in 1992. Throughout his life, he remained committed to his alma mater and supported the local community through various endeavors.

Bobby was so full of life. He was most passionate about his family, friends, animals, hunting and fishing. He loved to joke around, and always had plenty to say. Bobby was a “tell it like it is” kind of guy, and he always had a solution, and a joke. He worked hard, he played hard, but he loved even harder. If you knew him, you loved him. He had no enemies. He was a hard worker, and the entire community loved him. If you met him, you couldn’t help but love him. Everyone knew if you ever needed something, Bobby was the first person to call.

In addition to his successful career and vibrant personality, Bobby found joy in 4-H, FFA, supporting the youth and overall, ranching. Cattle were his passion and he wanted to share that with as many people as he could. From following his kids to shows across the state of Texas, to even creating Indian Creek Ranch Show Cattle to get other kids involved. He also took pride in actively supporting local stock shows. He was a strong advocate for organizations like the Dripping Springs Agricultural Boosters and the Coleman County Junior Livestock Association.

One of Bobby’s proudest accomplishments was his marriage to Lisa Ann Petrosky on March 12, 1997. Their love was truly special, and he adored Lisa and their four children beyond measure.

Bobby is survived by his beloved wife Lisa Alba of Coleman; his children Kaitlyn Alba of Coleman, Andrew Alba (and fiancée Iris Baker) of Dripping Springs, Kristin Alba of Coleman, and Jacob Alba of Coleman; his devoted parents Sammy and Louwyn Alba of Novice; his brother Edward Alba of Novice; sisters Mary Ann Owens (husband Steve) of Dripping Springs and Cheri Carrillo (husband Mark) of Red Rock; grandmother Debbie Rodriguez of Johnson City; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Bobby is preceded in death by his grandparents, Leno Alba Sr, Olivia Contreras, Elmer and Nelawyn Dalley, aunt Lori Alba, uncle Robert Dalley and niece Arianna Luck. His memory will forever be cherished by all those whose lives he touched, and his legacy will live on forever.
