The Brownwood Claybird Club will host the Texas State Super Sporting Championship Thursday, Aug. 1 through Sunday, Aug. 4.
The Main High Overall Champion will receive $1,500 and the runner-up will receive $1,000.
Divisions include:
- Super Sporting Main, which has an entry fee of $240. $20 of each entry goes back to class (BTC) in all divisions. Entry includes 200 super sporting targets, social event (heavy hor d’oeuvres and beverages) Friday evening and Dinner on Saturday evening. Main Event is sponsored by the Texas Sporting Clays Association. Trophies for 1st through 3rd place in each division.
- McCoy’s Super Sporting Prelim, which has a $120 entry fee and BTC (back to class) pays 1st through 3rd in each class, along with trophies.
- 5 Stand Main, which has a $65 entry fee and BTC pays 1st through 3rd, along with trophy to first.
- 5 Stand Prelim, which has a $65 entry fee and pays 1st through 3rd, along with trophy to first.
- Ladies Open, which has a $45 entry fee and pays 1st place and a trophy.
- Briley Sub Gauges, which has a $45 entry fee and BTC pays first place, along with a trophy. .28g, .20g and 410 bore events.
- 12 Gauge True Pair, which has $45 entry and pays 1st -3rd, along with trophy to first.
- Also, the 12 Gauge High All Around in the four events receives a trophy and the Sub Gauges High All Around in all three event receives a trophy.
