Moises was born on December 13, 1951 in Hamlin, Texas. He was born to Elida Jimenez Ramon and Andres C. Ramon. Moises was raised in San Saba. The last 34 years of his life Moises lived in Monticello, Florida. Moises had recently moved back to San Saba to be close to his family.

Thad Brashear, owner of Simpson Nurseries stated the following:

Moises began his employment at Simpson Nurseries in the early 1990’s as a pecan budder. Traveling seasonally for this job, it only took a couple of years before Moises decided to make his employment full time in Florida. Moises’ work ethic and loyalty to the company allowed him to move up the ladder and eventually he was named a crew leader on the nursery, a position he held for many years. The Nursery management credits him as being an integral part of the staff, keeping watch over the operations,on his own accord, most nights and weekends. Moises was beneficial in helping translate and interpret workplace interactions between employees. His dedication to the Brashear family, and his own loyalty to Simpson Nurseries, helped him build a life here in Florida, but he always enjoyed his yearly trips back “home” to Texas. Moises was so special to us in so many ways. He will be dearly missed on the nursery.

In Florida he had two very special families: Family number one: Jose Luz Romero and wife Isabel and their children; Alonso Romero, Eduardo Romero and Giovanny Romero. Family number two was Jose Juan Romero and his wife Remedios and their two children Jose Juan Romero, Jr. and Diana Romero. The children of these two couples were as his sister states “his grandchildren”. His “grandsons” came to Texas several times with Moises during their summer break. Moises was always urging them to be successful in school, graduate from high school so they could obtain a good paying job.

Moises is survived by his sisters: Graciela Ramon of San Saba, Texas; Vera Lou Wolfe, Nancy Hartman, and Debbie Jo Escobedo of Leon, Oklahoma; Aurora Vernon and Patricia Ann Williams of Marietta, Oklahoma; and Guadalupe Ramon of Castaic, California. He is also survived by two brothers, Angelo Richard Ramon of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and Antonio Ramon of Leon, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Rosalinda Sandoval and Nennie Lou Jones and brothers: Andres Ramon, Jr., Alfonso Ramon and Alfredo Ramon.

Pallbearers: Chan Jimenez, Alonzo Jimenez, Javier Jimenez, Dario Jimenez, Mario Reynosa and Gonzalo Flores.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jose Luz Romero, Giovanny Romero and Jose Juan Romero.
