Serenity came into this world on May 22, 2008 in Brownwood, Texas to James and Julie New. She looked like an Angel from Heaven. She was the most beautiful baby her mama & daddy had ever seen. Serenity was such a character from the time she could talk and hadn’t quit talking since. She put the sass in sassy! She was a student at Brownwood High School, a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Brownwood and the National Junior Honor Society, as well as a BHS Varsity Cheerleader. Serenity loved cheer and earned many awards while attending Matrix Cheer. She competed in Volleyball and loved to shop, swim and hang out with family and friends. She also loved making tik-toks, collecting pigs and beautiful sunflowers. She gave herself the nickname “Wilson” as a child. She planned to be an OB-GYN and although she claimed to not “like babies”, she wanted to deliver them and bring them into this world. Serenity’s legacy and all that she was will live on forever in the hearts and souls of many friends and family. A beautiful soul with a beautiful smile that lit up the whole room, energetic, sassy, very outspoken with a contagious laugh. An amazing daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter and friend. Serenity was Daddy’s little girl and Momma’s whole world and tremendously loved by her brothers, Julius and J.R. She loved giving them a hard time every chance she got and still they both proclaim she is the most beautiful baby in the world!

Serenity is survived by her beloved parents, James and Julie New of Brownwood; brothers, Julius Lara and J.R.
