More weekend rain has again increased the water level at Lake Brownwood, which as of 5:30 a.m. Monday sat just 4.96 feet below pool.
The water level stood at 1,419.94 feet – which is 75.9 percent full – as normal maximum operating capacity is 1,424.9 feet.
Since Friday, May 3, the lake’s water level has increased 4.33 feet up from 1,415.61, which was 58.7 percent capacity at the time.
Lake Brownwood is currently holding more water than it has any point in the last year with the previous high prior to this weekend being 1,419.56 feet and 74.5 percent full on July 3, 2023.
Currently, the forecast states the best chance for rain again is Thursday at 80 percent.
