BANGS – The district champion Bangs Lady Dragons were represented 15 times on the 6-2A softball all-district roster, determined by the coaches of the league.
The District 6-2A Most Valuable Player is junior pitcher Abby Wolf, while junior Julianna Ethridge was named Catcher of the Year, and junior Neeley Bradley was chosen Utility Player of the Year. Also, Leslea Miller and Logan Galloway were tabbed Coaching Staff of the Year.
Landing on the first team were infielders Emily Baker, a senior; junior Jadyn Miller; and sophomore Cheyenne Rush; along with senior outfielder Jordan Valdez.
Selected for the second team were infielder Mattisyn Taylor and outfielder Justice Baker, both sophomores.
Receiving honorable mention were juniors Sally Powell, Mariah Ruiz, and Serena Baker; sophomore Stormy Stringer; and freshman Aubree Buford.
The Lady Dragons finished the season with a 20-10 overall record, 10-0 district mark and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.
