MOUNT PLEASANT – Blanket Lady Tiger junior Karli Kinkade, the 2022 and 2023 Class A girls bronze medalist, earned her third trip to state Thursday as she fired a career-best 77 during the second round of the 36-hole Region III-A tournament to capture the regional championship.

Coupled with an 80 on Wednesday, Kinkade posted a 157 composite score over the two-day event at the Mount Pleasant Country Club and finished 18 strokes ahead of runner-up Cara Bolt (175) of Three Way.

Kinkade, now a three-time regional champion, will next compete at the UIL Class A Girls Golf State Tournament at Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle May 6-7.
