Samantha Lee Meeks was born on July 15, 1998, and passed away unexpectedly on February 1, 2024.

Samantha, known by many as Sam or Sammye, grew up in Early, Texas, and graduated from Early High School, where she was a member of the basketball team. She was currently studying to be a nurse. Sam enjoyed playing pool and competing in tournaments. She also immensely enjoyed the time she spent with her daughter, Helena.

Sammye was outgoing and very active on social media. She was a hardworking individual with many friends and rarely met a stranger she couldn’t win the heart of.

Those left to cherish her memory include: sisters Sabrina Correa and Pattimae Meeks; brothers Keith Meeks and Davy Meeks; parents John and Dawn Meeks; grandparents David and Nedra King and Linda Meeks, Aunt and Uncle Pattimae and Jimmy Simpson and Uncle and Aunt Doug and Nancy Meeks.

Memorial services are scheduled for April 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at the Heart of Texas Baptist Encampment and Retreat, 8025 N. FM 2125, Brownwood, TX 76801, with a potluck luncheon to follow. All who knew her and loved her are invited to join us in a celebration of her life. Please feel free to bring your favorite dish or a dish you know Sam enjoyed.
