The Brownwood Art Association is offering art classes for kids ages 8-13 during the week of March 11-15.  “Discover U” will explore a new idea or creative medium each day, discovering what makes us artists.  These spring break classes are for kids who want to learn about art in a fun and encouraging environment.

The classes will be from 10 am to 12 noon, at the Brownwood Art Center, 215 Fisk.  Cost for the week is $30.  Payment and registration for Discover U will be in person only, at the Art Center, from 2-6 pm weekdays.

Instructors are Kristen Stanke and Shae Sheehan.  Kristen is a current BAA Board member, serving as Exhibit Coordinator at the Art Center.  Her latest artistic passion is making art from found and recycled materials like water bottles, shopping bags, and Starbucks cups.  Shae is a digital artist who also experiments with acrylic paintings and multimedia projects.  She hopes for her crayon-wielding toddler to discover a love of art one day as well.

Class size is limited to 15, so reserve your spot now.  For more information about the BAA and the Art Center, follow the BAA on Facebook, visit the website at brownwoodart.net, or call 325-641-2916.
