He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela Riley of Coleman; one son, Dale Guynes of Hawley; his father, O.J. Riley of Clyde; his mother, Linda Hodes of Denham Springs, Louisiana; three sisters, Jewell Beltz and husband Russel of Clyde, Cristy Davis and husband Dave of Throckmorton, and Tommie Hicks and husband Devin of Hawley; several nieces and nephews, John Beltz and wife Tara Davis of Clyde, Tanner Beltz of Clyde, Kathleen Hankins and husband Cameron of Lubbock, Sara Martin of Merkel, Cody Hicks of Hawley, Jody Hicks of Hawley, Jesse Hicks of Hawley; and several great nieces and nephews.
Marolen is preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Baize Riley, and nephew Riley Beltz.
Marolen was a gentle soul, kind, loving, and worked hard to care for his family. He was a quiet man, if you ever needed anything all you had to do was ask. He would willingly give what he had and never expected anything in return.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with Stephen Holt, his dearest friend, officiating. Interment will follow in the Gouldbusk Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.
Special thank you to Gentiva Hospice, especially his nurse Ronell and social worker Shannon. They were always there for him and his wife, and he thought the world of them.
We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Riley family by signing the guestbook on Marolen’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Riley family.
