BCRW hosting ‘Meet the Candidates’ event on Jan. 12

The Brown County Republican Women’s Club issued the following press release:

Voters of Brown County are encouraged to meet their candidates before heading to the polls for the Republican Party Primary on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. The event is being held Friday, January 12th, 11:30 am to 1:00 pm at the Brownwood Country Club and is organized by Brown County Republican Women’s Club.

The purpose of the event is to give Brown County Voters an opportunity to meet the candidates involved in the election and discuss the issues of importance to the office they hold or running for.  All incumbents and candidates who have filed for the State Representative District 68 and Brown County Offices have been invited.  Those in contested races will be given 3 minutes to introduce themselves and those in non-contested races will be introduced during the meeting.

BCRW 2024 Officers will be installed by Robert Porter, Chair of the Brown County Republican Party.

You don’t have to be a member to attend.  Please RSVP if you will be attending by Monday, January 8th to Pat Krenek ~ Cell: 325-642-1899.

BECAUSE OF THE COUNTRY CLUB POLICY CHANGE FOR CIVIC GROUP MEETINGS; BCRW WILL IMPLEMENTING THE FOLLOWING: The Buffet has increased to $17 person, BCRW will be collecting for the buffet CASH ONLY and you must RSVP in order to eat at the Buffet; if you fail to RSVP you can attend but will need to order off the menu.  NOTE: If you RSVP and don’t attend you will be billed for the meal as BCRW will be billed for the count given to the County Club on Tuesday prior to the meeting.

We realize this is a big change for those attending our meetings and are open to suggestions to make this easier.
