Shirley Morgan Finch, age 76 of Blanket, passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Funeral services for Shirley will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 26, at Early First Baptist Church. Visitation will be held and hour prior to the service at the church.

 

Shirley Finch was born in Hillsboro to Windell and Willie Lois Morgan on January 28, 1947. She grew up in Abbott, Texas and graduated from High School in 1965. Following high school, she worked as a lab and x-ray technician around the Hillsboro, Killeen and Stephenville areas. She married Mike Finch and they were blessed with a son, Scott, in 1973. Shiley worked alongside Mike at Finch Ag Supply for many years. Shirley enjoyed going to her children and grandchildren’s school functions, especially her granddaughter Caitlin’s activities for the last six years. She also enjoyed feeding her cats. Shirley attended Early First Baptist Church for many years, and was a children’s Sunday School teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher. In 2022, she volunteered at the Early Primary School.

 

Shirley is survived by her husband, Mike Finch; son, Scott Finch; granddaughter, Caitlin Finch; sister, Sharon Cambell and husband Hank; nephew, Shane Cambell; niece, Angie Crawshaw and husband Clint; and many friends.

 

She was preceded by her parents.
