Keith Edward Duhon, 63, of Coleman

Keith Edward Duhon, beloved brother and cherished friend passed away on December 12, 2023, at his home. Born on June 9, 1960, in Port Arthur, Texas, he grew up and attended school in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Keith was a man of many passions, captured by the thrill of exploring new destinations across the globe. With an adventurous spirit, he embarked on numerous travels, forming lifelong connections and leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those he met along the way. He found solace and joy in the beauty of nature, displaying his love for the outdoors through his passion for hunting.

As a dedicated and skilled professional, Keith excelled in his career in the oil and gas industry. His talent and expertise led him to work in Saudi Arabia and Dubai for Chevron/Phillips, a testament to his remarkable work ethic and unwavering commitment. After many successful years, Keith retired from his role as project manager, leaving a legacy of exceptional accomplishments and fostering enduring relationships with colleagues that lasted well beyond his retirement.

Returning to the peace and serenity of southern Coleman County in his retirement, Keith found solace in the tranquility of the area he called home. Surrounded by the beauty of nature, he cherished the moments spent in reflection and gratitude.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Gloria Davis Duhon; one sister, Cynthia Louise Duhon and one brother, Stephen Paul Duhon.

Keith will be forever remembered by his surviving his siblings, Rebecca Duhon Parr and husband, Jesse, of Bryan, David William Duhon and wife, Cheryl, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Gayla D. Primeaux of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Laura Camille Severns and husband, Mark, of Hebert Settlement, Louisiana.  Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Their shared memories, laughter, and love will keep Keith’s spirit alive, even in his absence.

A memorial service to honor Keith’s memory and celebrate his life will be held at Saint John Cemetery in Lacassine, Louisiana at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, an organization that was close to Keith’s heart. Keith Edward Duhon touched the lives of many with his kindness, compassion, and unwavering spirit. He will forever be cherished and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he find eternal peace in the embrace of his heavenly home.
