Four Grams Of Suspected Meth Seized After Warrant Served

The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Friday morning:

On Thursday, November 30, 2023, at approximately 8 a.m., officers with the Brownwood Police Department located 34-year-old Alain Alfredo Valencia-Mendez leaving his residence in the 1000 block of La Monte Dr.  Mendez had an active warrant for his arrest which was related to drug charges.  The warrant out of McCullouch County was confirmed and Mendez was arrested.

Mendez was interviewed and admitted to being under the influence of an illegal narcotic, namely Methamphetamine.  Given this information, the Brown County Probation Office was contacted and arrived to assist in the investigation.

At the conclusion of the interview, a search warrant was drafted for Mendez’ residence and the warrant was granted and executed.  Over four grams of suspected Methamphetamine were seized from the residence.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Mendez was transported to the Brown County Jail on the McCullouch County warrant as well as a charge of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Over 4 grams.
