The Brownwood Police Department issued the following press release Tuesday morning:

On Monday, November 13th, 2023, at approximately 6:36 p.m. Brownwood Police Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 1900 BLK of Avenue B. On arrival officers spoke with two complainants that advised a known individual had poured gasoline on them and threatened to catch them on fire. Officers conducted the investigation and James Robinson Jr. was identified as the suspect. Robinson was taken into custody after being non-compliant with the officers. The charges are attempted murder, attempted arson and resisting arrest, search, or transport.
