The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release Tuesday afternoon:

Jamie Anderson, age 43, pled guilty to capital murder on Tuesday for the murder of 9-year-old HardiQuinn Hill. Pursuant of the plea agreement, 35th District Court Judge Mike Smith sentenced Anderson to life with no possibility of parole. Anderson also waived all rights to appeal her conviction as part of the agreement.

Law enforcement and medical personnel responded to a medical emergency on Aug. 22, 2022 and discovered HardiQuinn’s death. Anderson, along with Dawn Hill-Flesner, was later charged with capital murder for the death of HardiQuinn.

Hill-Flesner’s capital murder charge was recently resolved for life without the possibility of parole as well.

The victim’s family was present for the court hearing and supported the resolution of both cases in a manner that protected the healing and development of HardiQuinn’s surviving brother.

District Attorney Micheal Murray said that although such cases are difficult to resolve, the outcome in these two cases provides closure and justice for a family that needs the ability to heal and grow beyond these tragic circumstances,

The District Attorney would also like to thank the Brownwood Police Department for its continuous support throughout these cases and the diligent work of everyone involved in this resolution.
