Jared Dale Nowell passed away on November 1, 2023. Jared was born March 28, 1983, in Abilene, and raised by his beloved grandparents, Cecil and Naoma Wilson in Cross Plains. After attending school in both Brownwood and Cross Plains, Jared graduated from Cross Plains High School in 2001. On May 28, 2005, he married Kadie Elizabeth Bullion. They made their home in Early and are blessed with four amazing children: J.D., Jack, Ella, and Izzy.

Jared was taught early the value of hard work and worked hard all of his life. He made his career in the oil field for 22 years working for a variety of drillers in several roles from West Texas to the Gulf of Mexico. Most recently, he served as a Directional Driller for Phoenix Drilling in Odessa.   Jared was loving and a fierce family man.  He loved to laugh, loved music, loved to have fun, and loved smoking meat. BBQ was his passion and that showed that in his food.

Brothers Smoke was his life’s work.

Jared is survived by his wife of 19 years, Kadie, and their children Jaden Dakota, Jackson Creed, Ella Jaede, and Isabella Kate of Early, his beloved Nanny Mama Naoma Wilson of Cross Plains, grandmother Twila Nowell of Abilene, his brother and best friend Chris Nowell (Shelly) of Brownwood, mother Melinda Barker of Abilene, brothers and sisters-in-law Dawn and Evan Hankins of Corinth, Trey and Diane Bullion of Lake Dallas, Clayton and Bethany Bullion of Stephenville, mother in law Karen Bullion of Brownwood, along with numerous treasured nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jared is preceded in death by his hero, the best man he ever knew, his grandfather Cecil Wilson, grandfather PawPaw James Nowell, and father-in-law Pop Charles Bullion,

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 6pm to 8pm at Heartland Funeral Home at 303 Early Blvd, Early.

Services will be held at Heartland Funeral Home at 10am November 4, 2023 and officiated by Clayton Bullion. Graveside to follow at Jenkins Springs Cemetery in Early.
