Shannon Benet Martin, 55, of Abilene, TX was called home to the Lord on October 29, 2023 at her home. She was born June 13, 1968, in Temple, TX to Robert & Mavis Martin of Proctor. She was a Christian who loved God. Shannon was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. She loved to play Phase-10 and Wahoo with her nephews and nieces.

Shannon is survived by her fiancé Michael England of Abilene; her daughter, Justi Gary and husband Chris of Abilene; two sons, Colton Voyles of Dublin and Jordan Halcomb of Abilene; her mom, Mavis Martin of Comanche; one sister, Janie Mobley of Dublin; brothers, Bret Martin and wife Carol of Proctor and Terry Martin and wife Shelia of Proctor; 6 grandkids, R.J. Pena and McKayla Pena of Gustin, William Woodruff and wife Kameryn of Abilene, Cody Gary of Abilene, Baylee Gary, Caylee Gary, and Colby Gary of Florida; 2 great grand kids, Journey and Odyssey Woodruff of Abilene, numerous nieces and nephews. She gave the best hugs. She was preceded in death by her dad, Robert Martin; one brother, Len Martin; one grandson, Auric Pena`.
