Robert Joseph “Bobby” Mawhinney, Sr., was born November 18, 1937 and passed away on October 28, 2023, at the age of 85.

Robert was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the first one in his family to be born in a hospital. He attended West Catholic Boys School and after graduation joined the United States Marine Corps. When enlisted, he met the love of his life, Shelba Jean and the married in January of 1959. They were blessed with 4 children and enjoyed many adventures together throughout their 52 years of marriage. Robert was a caring, loving and very funny guy that made friends everywhere he went.

Robert is survived by his twin daughters, Susanne and husband Matt, Susan and husband Duane; grandchildren, Jason, Caitlin, Janelle, RJ, Ron, Shelby, Riley; and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shelba; his son, Rik; his parents, Edwin and Catherine; his brother, Edwin; sisters, Julia, Alma, Rosey, and Catherine.
