Leo Glenn Franke, age 93 of Cross Plains, Texas passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023, in Abilene, Texas.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 27, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Higginbotham Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will follow the service at the Cross Plains Memorial Park in Cross Plains, Texas.
The family will have a time of visitation on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. at Higginbotham Funeral Home, 309 N E 4th Street, Cross Plains, Texas 76443.
Leo was born on November 25, 1929, in Cross Plains, Texas to the late Alfred Franke and Annie Hanke-Franke. Leo married Dorothy Julene Gary on December 6, 1953 in Cross Plains, Texas, who preceded him on May 17, 2012.
Leo was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Dorothy Julene Gary-Franke; parents, Alfred and Annie Franke; brothers, Merlin Franke, Edwin Franke; sister, Frances Bartek and husband, Frank; brother-in-law, Harold Grey.
Leo is survived by his children, Rhonda Look and husband, Mike; Randall Franke and wife, Kathy; Vivian Lewis and husband, Danny; 8 grandchildren, Molly Collins and husband, Rob; Amanda Moorhead and husband, Josh; Amie Felan and husband, Armando; Kellie Dodson and husband, Chris; Jeremy Franke; Matthew Deel and wife, Alicia; Shanna Kevil and husband, Kyle; Shawn Lewis and wife, Donna; 22 great grandchildren; brother, Raymond Franke and wife, Faye; brother-in-law, Joe Gary; 2 sisters-in-law, Regina Fleming and Mary Frances Callaway; numerous nieces, nephews and cousin.
