NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Houston Rockets have traded Kevin Porter Jr. and two second-round picks to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Victor Oladipo and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl. Houston plans to send the Minnesota Timberwolves’ 2027 second-round pick and the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2028 second-round pick. Wojnarowski also reported that Oklahoma City will waive Porter and they’ll have to pay him the $16.9 million that’s guaranteed on his contract.

The move comes one day after Porter had one of three charges dropped during his hearing in Manhattan on Monday. As previously reported by The New York Post, Porter had one of three charges dropped during his hearing in Manhattan — Porter’s charge of second-degree assault was tossed after a fractured vertebrae was found to be a congenital defect on his girlfriend and former WNBA player Kyrse Gondrezick. Porter is still facing charges of second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault. If convicted of second-degree strangulation, Porter would spend up to seven years in jail.
