House Bill 4 by State Representative David Spiller (R-Jacksboro) has been added to the third Special Session call by Governor Abbott. The border bill will be heard Thursday in the House State Affairs Committee.

House Bill 4 creates a criminal offense for illegal entry into Texas from a foreign nation and authorizes all licensed peace officers to remove illegal immigrants.

“I have been working closely with the Governor’s Office to carefully craft this legislation. I look forward to presenting it to the State Affairs Committee and to the full house. I thank Governor Abbott for his leadership and amending the Special Session call to ensure House Bill 4 reaches final passage,” said Representative Spiller.
