Cleo Jeanette “Janette” Wofford, 83, of Early, TX, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

She was born on December 3, 1939, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the late Benjamin C Lee and Iva M Lee. Janette was a loving, kind, and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated countless hours sewing beautiful dresses for her granddaughters and found joy in spending time with her family and friends.

Janette also enjoyed volunteering at nursing homes where she led bingo games and painted the ladies’ nails. Janette found solace in her faith and was an active member of Victory Life Church. She had a deep love for Jesus and spent many years teaching bible school classes at Victory Life.

Janette is survived by her devoted husband, William Eugene Wofford, and her sons Benny and wife Galela, Mark and wife Joanna, and Steve. She leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Janette is also survived by her brothers David Lee and Denzell Lee.

A visitation will be held at Heartland Funeral Home on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Heartland Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early, Texas.
