Brown County Judge Shane Britton signed an order today, Monday, September 18, lifting the Burn Ban after conferring with the County Commissioners. This is due to the recent precipitation that has been received. Conditions will be monitored in the weeks ahead. Please monitor conditions and state laws concerning outdoor burning. All controlled burns should be called in to the Brownwood Dispatch center on a non-emergency number  prior to commencing burn operations. Residents are responsible for safe outdoor burning.

Also in session Monday morning, Coleman County Commissioners voted to lift the Burn Ban until further notice.
