Jason Joe Montez, age 26, of Brady, Texas passed away Saturday morning, September 2, 2023 in Brady.
Jason was born April 18, 1997 in Llano, Texas to Joe Fernando Montez and Hope Elayne (Lemond) Montez. Jason, or “J-Sun-Joe” as he was known by most, grew up mostly in Brady and graduated from Brady High School. He worked for Wal*Mart for a couple of years and at the time of his death he was working for Mac’s Bar-B-Que, where he had worked for over 4 years. He had lived in Brady for 17 years, moving here from Llano. Jason was a very intellectual, very smart, respectable and charismatic young man who was always happy. He would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was known as a comedian who was very outgoing, lovable and light hearted. He was also known for his colorful, stylish clothes. He loved to party, hang with his friends and play video games. He absolutely adored his baby girls Lola and Kairi.
Funeral services for Jason Joe Montez will be held at 10:00am Saturday, September 16, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Brady with Father Terry Brenon officiating. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.
