Wildfire in Southern Comanche County Devours 150 Acres So Far

UPDATE WEDNESDAY MORNING, AUG. 30

The Willingham Fire in Comanche County is an estimated 250 acres and 75% contained.  Forward progression was stopped last night.  Dozer crews finished building containment lines around the fire and firefighters patrolled the area to check for heat and hotspots.

The Texas A&M Forest Service incident website indicates that, as of 3:15 pm Tuesday, August 29th, the Willingham Fire in Comanche County was at 150 acres with 20% containment. The fire shows to be on 2486 in southern Comanche County, very near the Hamilton County line.
