A tragic accident on Sunday evening in Early claimed the life of a female while a male was airlifted by helicopter.
According to the Early Police Department, on Sunday, Aug. 27 at approximately 6:45 p.m. officers with Early Police Department, Early Fire Department and Lifeguard EMS responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 1300 block of Early Blvd.
A vehicle was traveling west bound on Early Blvd. when it left the roadway and struck a power pole then crashed against a tree on its side.
A 19-year-old male was extracted from the vehicle by the fire department and was flown by Air-Evac to Harris Hospital in Fort Worth.
A female died at the scene.
The name is withheld pending notification to family.
Early Blvd. was closed for approximately 30 minutes to land Air-Evac.
The crash is under investigation at this time, according to Early Police Department.
