Charles Davis Clay, age 77, of Bangs, Passed away on August 23, 2023.

A memorial service for Charles will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 26 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Charles was born to Jack and Mabel Clay on May 15, 1946 in Quanah, Texas. After high school, Charles joined the United States Air Force and served at Altus Air Force Base in Altus, Oklahoma, where he worked his way up to becoming a Sergeant before receiving an Honorable discharge in 1970. He was employed the majority of his life as a security guard, primarily working for commercial businesses.

Charles enjoyed many hobbies, but making Indian jewelry was his passion. He made necklaces and dreamcatchers with great skill.

Charles is survived by his spouse, Sarah Jerman; children, Shannon Adams, Michael Clay and Patrick Jerman; brother, James Clay; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, a brother and a sister.
