After 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, the Brownwood Fire Department and other local agencies responded to the call.

As of 3:30 p.m., the fire had burned an estimated 10-15 acres, according to Brown County Emergency Management, and firefighters were still on the scene fighting the fire from the ground and air.  Forward progress of the fire had been stopped in rough terrain.
