Joseph was born in Yantai (Chefoo) China on January 19, 1934, to Bransford and Martha Fenn Eubank while on Presbyterian missionary work. He was raised in Brownwood where he often played organ for church services and assisted his father at the family’s ranch. He graduated salutatorian from Brownwood High School in 1951, attended Park College (now University) in Kansas and earned his doctorate in electrical engineering at the University of Kansas.
After a few years of professorship at the University of Texas in Arlington he pursued his true calling and passion; tuning, repairing and building pipe organs for churches and individual clients. In between jobs he enjoyed road trips, overseas travel, home improvement and pursuit of knowledge. He lived in Austin from 1977 to 2019, then relocated to his hometown where he lived a quiet life on Lake Brownwood reading, listening to talk radio and enjoying occasional visits from friends and family members.
