Sabrina Welch Landers passed peacefully in her sleep July 21, 2023.

Born Sabrina Eloy Welch September 25, 1959, affectionally known as “Ginga,” she was the third of eight children of Jesse and Louise Welch. In 1974, she married the love of her life, Michael Landers, and together they had 3 children. Although their marriage wasn’t eternal, their love for each other was. In her younger years, she enjoyed waiting tables at several restaurants in Brownwood, and she spent the most of those years managing and waiting tables at Brownwood Cafe.  She rarely met a stranger, and was always quick witted and funny in conversation.

Her greatest blessings were her 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Although she wasn’t recognized as the best singer, she loved to sing “Jesus Loves Me” and “You Are My Sunshine” to all of her grandbabies. Family and friends were always her greatest love, but Dr. Pepper was a really close second.

She is survived by her one true love, Michael Landers, as well as her children, Melissa and husband Greg Drury, of Bangs, Joey Landers and wife Johanna, of Brownwood, and Danny Landers and wife Katie, of Junction. She had 10 grandchildren, Douglas, Alexus, Kyra, Sabrina, Becca, Jesse, Daniel, Kaiden, Michaela, and Lillian. She had 5 great grandchildren, Ella, Sylus, Elliana, James, and Wren. She is also survived by her 6 sisters, Angela and husband Dean Strube, Missy and husband Bill Stockman, Lindy Welch, Christy Scott, Kathy and husband Rudy Lopez, and Tiny and husband Gerald Lobstein, as well as 1 brother, Lee Welch and wife Sonia. She had more nieces and nephews than she could count.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Louise Petty Welch, her father and mother-in-law Glenn and Florene Landers, grandparents LeRoy and Ella Mae Welch, and Roscoe and Bonita Petty.

The family will hold a celebration of her life Monday, July 24, 2023, at 1 PM at the Wendell Dodd Community Center at 1500 Terrace Drive in Brownwood.

Funeral arrangements are by Heartland Funeral Home in Early.
